Ambarakaraka

Ambarakaraka is a town and commune in Madagascar. It belongs to the district ambilobe, which is part of Diana Region in Antsiranana Province. According to a census of 2001, the municipality has a population of 16,114.

Economy and population

About 90 percent of the population Ambarakarakas were employed with the survey in 2001 in agriculture, the cultivation of rice for the lion's share, followed by coffee, catechu and black pepper.
