Amberian Dawn
Amberian Dawn is a Finnish symphonic metal band.
History
Amberian Dawn refer to themselves as " melodic, dramatic and powerful metal with classical female voice ". All members of the band have played a long musical past and in many bands.
Tuomas Seppälä, Heikki Saari, Peter James Goodman and Tommi Kuri already played with the band Virtuocity until dissolved this. Then the four decided to continue with original compositions by Tuomas Seppälä and founded in 2004 together with Sampo Seppälä and Tom Sagar ATheme One. In 2006, she recorded a first demo, but did not bring the desired success. Seppälä and Kuri began therefore to look for a singer, which is why Goodman had to leave the band. Heikki Saari was not satisfied with the development of the band and moved to Norther, whereupon he was replaced by Joonas Pykälä -Aho. Around this time, the band Amberian Dawn renamed.
Mid-2006 was found in the soprano Heidi Parviainen the desired singer. Sampo Seppälä left the band and was replaced by Kasperi Heikkinen. In autumn 2006, Amberian Dawn took in the studio Rockstar Productions on another demo, which included the songs River of Tuoni and Evil Inside Me. This demo brought them a record deal. On 30 January 2008 Amberian Dawn published in Suomen Musiikki their debut album River of Tuoni, which was released worldwide in June of the same year and spent a week at number 36 of the Finnish album charts. Since then, the band played, among others, in the interlude of Evergrey and Epica.
In 2008, the band received reinforcement by Emil Pohjalainen on second guitar and began the recording sessions for the second album. The Clouds of Northland Thunder was released in May 2009. In June of the same year, the band played for the first time at a festival, the Sweden Rock.
On 23 November 2009, the band announced that the third album is in the works, a contract was signed with Spinefarm Records for its publication. On 20 October 2010 the album was released under the name End of Eden.
End of February 2012 the fourth studio album Circus Black was released.
On 9 November 2012, the band announced that singer Heidi Parviainen, drummer Heikki Saari and guitarist Kasperi Heikkinen will leave the band. This is done by consensus and the decision was made at the beginning of 2012. Capri was announced in December 2012 as the new singer. As a replacement for Heikki Saari and Kasperi Heikkinen return drummer Joonas Pykälä -aho and guitarist Emil " Emppu " Pohjalainen back to Amberian Dawn.
In June 2013, the band released the compilation album Re-Evolution with songs of the previous studio albums that were recorded for new and interpreted by the new singer.
