Ameghino (crater)

Ameghino is a small impact crater north of the sinus Successus, a bay in the northeastern part of the Mare Fecunditatis. The landing points of the Russian lunar probes Luna 18 and Luna 20 are less than 15 km in a north-westerly direction located.

Before the renaming by the IAU he was known as Apollonius C. The main crater Apollonius is located east-northeast of Ameghino.
