American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG ) is the name of the largest gynecological and obstetrical professional society in the United States with headquarters in Washington DC and over 55,000 members.

The company was founded as the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, 1951 in Chicago ( Illinois).

The members shall be designated as a Fellow and lead the acronym FACOG her name. To become a member, an annual two-part test is required.

The official publication of the ACOG is since 1953 the journal Obstetrics & Gynecology, which is also known as "The Green Journal".
