American Council of Trustees and Alumni

The American Council of Trustees and Alumni ( ACTA) is an organization of university graduates and donors: It sees itself as the guardian of academic quality at the American universities. In the report entitled " Defending Civilization: How Our Universities let America down and what we can do about it " are referred to as un-American statements from certain academic circles. Founder of the organization and current honorary chairman is Lynne Cheney, wife of former Vice President of the United States. The Council was founded in 1995.
