American Handball

American handball ( also court handball or in the United States only handball called ) is a the English game Fives similar ball game; both are played in contrast to squash a no-hitter, but with gloves or bare hands. In Scotland and Ireland the game since the 15th century is known. The game Jai Alai should also go back to handball.

Similar to squash the pitch of four walls and the floor can be made. There are also one- wall and three- wall versions. The ball is 1 ⅞ inches tall in diameter and 2.3 ounces ( 71.54 grams) heavy. To protect your hands often, wear gloves. It is played one - on-one, doubles ( two against two ) or as "cut - throat" ( Cutthroat ) with three players that rotate continuously ( server- to - two).

In four -wall the ball is pitched by one team against the front wall. The ball must go beyond the stop line before it bounces. From there, he can then only take a side wall. It can be defeated directly or he may even bounce off the ground before it is played back. The response must either make the front wall, or if there is a rear wall, the front wall or side walls of the roof without bounce to make therefrom.

The playing field is 20 feet ( 6.10 meters) wide, 20 feet high and 40 feet ( 12.0 meters ) long.

American handball is extremely physically demanding and a very good fitness sport that trains the whole body.
