American Statistical Association

The American Statistical Association (ASA ) ( German: American Statistical Association ) is an association of statisticians and statisticians with more than 17,000 members.

ASA was founded in 1839 in Boston. It publishes several scientific journals, including the Journal of the American Statistical Association ( JASA ) and the Journal of Business and Economic Statistics ( JBES ). In addition, be awarded by the organization, a number of scientific awards and honors. So the ASA Fellowships are awarded annually among others. The current president of the ASA is Nathaniel Schenker (as of 2014).
