Ameugny
Ameugny is a commune of 147 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Saône -et -Loire in the south of Burgundy.
Ameugny is within the defined limits of the wine-growing Burgundy region. Defined areas are approved for the production of wines under the appellation Bourgogne.
Geography
The village lies on a hill between Mâcon and Chalon -sur -Saône only a few kilometers from Cluny, whose abbey played an important role in the whole area until the 12th century.
Structures
The church of Notre- Dame d' Ameugny is included in the list of French monuments since October 22, 1913.
