Amidei

The Amidei were a noble family from Florence.

Originally the family came from Rome, but they are already covered in the founding of the city of Florence there.

Became famous for the family by a dispute with the family Buondelmonte. This dispute is said to have led to the formation of the Guelphs and Ghibellines in Florence in 1215.
