Ampelonas

Ambelonas (Greek Αμπελώνας ( f sg ), Vineyard ' ) is a Greek village and district of the municipality of Tyrnavos in Greek region of Thessaly. It is located southwest of the Olympus, 22 km southeast of the small town Elassona and north of the town Larisa.

Ambelonas heard by incorporation since 2010 to the township Tyrnavos and exists as a district Ambelonas from the villages Ambelonas ( 5920 ), Vryotopos ( 668 ) Deleria ( 866) and Rodia ( 953 inhabitants).

The municipality Ambelonas is dominated by agriculture, whose products are all cotton, grain and corn, but also grapes (wine ), pears and peaches. In addition, fruits and vegetables such as cabbage, tomatoes and melons are grown.

Ambelonas is known for his organizing a yearly since 1959 Wine Festival.
