Ampelopsis megalophylla

Ampelopsis is a genus of the family grapevine family ( Vitaceae ). They are also referred to as pseudo vines.

Description

Ampelopsis species are woody, dioecious or polygamous - monoecious vines. The vines are branched two or three times. The leaves are simple, one or two times pinnate or fingered. The inflorescence is an umbrella- shaped Zyme. The flowers are fünfzählig. The cup is dished. The 5 petals are free. The flower tube is well developed. Its edge is lobed like a wall. There are 5 stamens present. The stylus can be clearly seen. The scar is extended indistinct. The fruits are spherical, one to viersamige berries. The seeds are verkehrteiförmig, its base is beak-like and rounded off their peak.

Occurrence

The genus is widespread in Central and North America and Asia. Most species occur in East Asia.
