Ampparit

Ampparit.com is a Finnish web news portal, which was founded in 2004. The service gathers news from more than 250 media source and display the headings in a list. It is also possible to search for a message. In addition to the news page contains information about the weather, television programs, a message card, a web TV channel and a blog. The user can create their own profiles and thereby filter the contents of the page.

Versions

Mobile versions

Two mobile versions have been developed: Ampparit Mini for mobile phones with small screens, and Ampparit Lite for devices with larger monitors. In addition, there are applications for iPhone, Android and Windows Phone.

Witpik

Witpik is a tool for professional media monitoring, the concept for the competition Ideka 2006 under the name Ampparit Pro - was developed business intelligence. The name was changed in 2010 due to the expansion of the service for the Russian market to Witpik media monitoring. Later in the same year was published Witpiks mobile version.

Popularity

In 2011 Ampparit.com finished with more than 300 000 visitors per week number 30 of a study conducted by TNS Metrix on the number of visitors Finnish websites. She was also one of the most visited websites. According to information from TNS Metrix and a request from Digitoday Ampparit.com is the most popular news portal in Finland.
