Amsterdam G's

The Amsterdam G's are a Dutch ice hockey club from Amsterdam, which was founded in 2011 and plays in the Eredivisie. Play their home games from the club in the Jaap Edenhal that holds 4,000 spectators.

History

The Amsterdam G's were founded in 2011 under the name Amsterdam Capitals as the successor club of professional clubs Amstel Tijgers and took the game mode in the Eredivisie and the North Sea Cup.

In summer 2012, the new club was due to financial problems shortly before the resolution before could be secured with a fundraising campaign and a new main sponsor of the game operation for the 2012/13 season. The new main sponsor, an energy drink manufacturers was received with the product gangster as a shortcut on the club name.
