An Evening in Paris is a Hindi film directed by Shakti Samanta in the year 1967.

Action

Deepa Malik, a fabulously wealthy young woman who previously had no luck in love. She is now 23 years old and frustrated by the Indian men. According to their view, they had it apart just for the money and not for the romance left. Therefore, she flies to Paris, the city of love to meet nice French. In addition, there lives of her father's secretary, which adjusts the assistant Honey and the driver Makkan Singh for them.

In Paris Deepa meets a Frenchman who told his Indian friend Shyam Kumar from her. Shyam, also called Sam, Deepa spanned from him and they come in Switzerland closer.

Shekar, son of the Secretary, has a gambling debt and needs money urgently, otherwise he gets in big trouble with his boss Jack. He is now trying to marry Deepa. The fact that she is with Sam, he is a thorn in the eye.

In the Parisian cabaret Shekar sees a girl who appears with the name Suzy and looks exactly like Deepa. Since he has an idea and concocts a plan: He kidnapped Deepa and in their place Suzy plays the love Deepa.

This goes well for a few days and no one gets suspicious. However, Sam is surprised by a few days ago about Deepa and becomes suspicious.

Meanwhile, traveling Deepas father to Paris and Sam finds out that his girlfriend is not the real Deepa. He reports Deepas father know who believes that this girl must be Deepas missing twin sister Roopa. Roopa was kidnapped as a young girl. Just then, Suzy comes in and Deepas father is beside himself to have found his missing daughter for joy, but Suzy refuses to see himself as his daughter and runs off. Sam runs after her to make Deepa identified. But Suzy puts out only with the truth, if he marries her, because she has fallen in love with him. For Sam, this is an impossible demand, and because he alone Deepa loves only.

One of Jack's accomplice asks ransom for Deepa. Sam agrees to Deepa finally retrieve and sets out on the road. Suzy gets wind and strikes against him at the arranged meeting point. Meanwhile, she had realized that she can not stand between her sister and her love. Arriving there, they exchanged roles with Deepa, Deepa so can escape. But when Sam gets there, he gets into a conflict with Jack, who then Suzy pretending to be Deepa anschießt. She tells Sam that the real Deepa had fled. Sam goes in search of Deepa. After he has found it, both flee. Meanwhile, Suzy is driven to the hospital by Makkan Singh and survived the attack.
