An Giang Province

An Giang is a province of Vietnam. It lies in the southwest of the country and bordered to the northwest of Cambodia.

Geography

The An Giang Province is located in the upper part of the Mekong Delta region. The two arms of the Mekong River, the Hau Giang and Tien Giang which dominate the landscape in the province. With the exception of the West is the region around the plains. In addition, the province is rich in rivers. This favors the cultivation of rice.

Districts

An Giang is divided into nine districts:

  • An Phú
  • Châu Phú
  • Châu Thành
  • Chợ moi
  • Phú Tân
  • Tân Châu
  • Thoai Sơn
  • Tinh Bien
  • Tri-Tone

The cities of Long Xuyen ( provincial capital ) and Châu Đốc are own communities.
