Ana Pastor Julián

Ana María Pastor Julián ( born November 11, 1957 in Cubillos, Zamora Province) is a Spanish politician of the Partido Popular.

Life and career

Pastor Julián studied medicine and surgery at the University of Salamanca. After her studies she worked in the public service in Pontevedra.

Since 2000 she has been a Member of the Congreso de los Deputies for the electoral district of Pontevedra. She has held positions in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports, the Ministry of the Presidency and the Ministry of Interior. From 2002 to 2004 she was Spanish Minister for Health. On 22 December 2011, she was appointed Minister of Construction and Transport in the Cabinet Rajoy.
