History

Analytik Jena was founded in 1990 shortly after the peaceful revolution of the former Carl Zeiss employees and current Board members, Klaus Berka and Jens Adomat, and again in 1990 retired Walter mouth. In a few years the Thuringian company grew to national and international markets. 1994 bought Analytik Jena shares in IDC devices Development Company in Long Meadows ( South Thuringia ). From now on first own devices for environmental and water analysis in collaboration with IDC were developed. A year later the business have earned Analytik Jena laboratory analysis technology of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH. Thus, the Group had a complete range of production, research and development, design and sales for atomic absorption spectroscopy and UV VIS spectroscopy. Thus the way was founded as a " distributor of analyzers " company was started in the direction of its own products.

1997 came with the Docter Optic ice rink GmbH - once from the traditional works of Carl Zeiss Jena GmbH emerged in ice rink - another production site added. The product portfolio was extended by classical optics equipment for the leisure and hunting area, such as binoculars, weapon sights and flashlights. The " Optics" business unit was created.

After 1999, completed its transformation into a joint stock company, Analytik Jena went on 3 July 2000 to the stock market.
