Description
Butterfly
The wingspan of the moth is 51-70 mm. The ground color is whitish. On the front wings, a black, circular spot is near the interior angle. At the front edge there are two or three elongated, yellow-brown stains lift off. The Submarginalregion is also yellow-brown and crossed by dark lines. On the hind wings two small, black, circular spots are seen near the yellow-brown and crossed by dark lines Submarginalregion. A short tail is more or less developed strongly. The lower wing shows similar drawing elements such as the top, but they are paler and weaker.
Egg, caterpillar, pupa
The pale yellow eggs are provided with many ribs and quite arbitrarily laid singly on the food plants or in their vicinity. The caterpillars are brownish to blackish and have the body numerous fine whitish or silvery dots and orange warts and highly branched black spines on. At the top there are two small black horns, which are thickened club-shaped at the end. The Stürzpuppe usually has a bright green color and shows some dark drawing elements on the cremaster. Sometimes entirely black dolls come before.

The caterpillars live in a variety of different plants, this includes figwort family ( Scrophulariaceae ), verbena family ( Verbenaceae ), Acanthaceae ( Acanthaceae ) and Lamiaceae ( Labiatae ).
