Anchor bend

The Roringstek is a knot for attaching a rope to an anchor ring ( Roring ).

Application

The Roringstek is mainly used for permanently joining a leash with a ring. In addition, Verholleine, anchor rope and Tripp or Warpleine can also be attached to round smooth objects ( logs, sticks ). Rings that hang vertically on the harbor wall, come on every train with each wave in the horizontal and so chafe the line through. The Roringstek has the advantage that it clamps on the ring and does not chafe. He is, however, difficult to solve if he has been under heavy train.

Tie

With the end of the rope two loose round trips are made through the ring. With the free end, go around the fixed end and plugged it from the side on which the fixed end is through both round trips and pulls node securely. The double overhand knot is, in principle, this node basis.
