Anchor Point is a census -designated place in Kenai Peninsula Borough in the U.S. state of Alaska. According to legend, the name comes from the time when James Cook explored the environment. He is said to have lost an anchor in Anchor Point ( engl. "Anchor" ). The first settlers arrived in the early 20th century.
