Ancient Diocese of Éauze

The Archdiocese Eauze (Latin: Archidioecesis Elusensis ) was located in France Roman Catholic archdiocese headquartered in Eauze.

History

The Archdiocese Eauze was built in the 3rd century. First archbishop was Paterno. Archbishop Aspasio convened in the year 551 a synod in Eauze, attended by eight other bishops.

In the year 879 the Archdiocese Eauze was dissolved and the territory was annexed to the archbishopric, too.
