History

The diocese of Lisieux was built in the 6th century. First bishop was Theudobaudis.

On 29 November 1801, the diocese of Lisieux was dissolved as a result of the Concordat of 1801 by Pope Pius VII with the Papal Bull Qui Christi Domini and the territory was the bishoprics of Bayeux, Evreux and Sées affiliated.

The diocese of Lisieux was the archbishopric of Rouen, is a suffragan.
