Anders Gustaf Ekeberg

Anders Gustaf Ekeberg ( born January 15, 1767 in Karlskrona, † February 11, 1813 in Uppsala ) was a Swedish naturalist and chemist.

Ekeberg studied at Uppsala University and has a doctorate in 1788 with a thesis on vegetable oils.

Ekeberg was interested in many things. He taught from 1794 Chemistry in Uppsala, with a focus was on the analysis of minerals. He discovered the element Tantalum in 1801 as part of the Yttrotantalits.
