André Blavier

André Blavier ( born October 23, 1922 in Verviers, Liege, † June 12, 2001 ) was a Belgian librarian, publicist and writer, who belonged to the circle of authors Oulipo and a follower of justifying ended by Alfred Jarry absurdist philosophy and science concept pataphysics had. Life

Originally from a working class family Blavier made ​​post-school vocational training as a librarian and was deported during the Second World War in 1940 as forced laborers in the German Empire. After his return to Belgium, he began in 1942 his work as a librarian in Verviers.

As such, it focuses quickly and comprehensively with the work of Raymond Queneau, the author of Le Chien Dent (1933 ) and Les Enfants du Limon (1938).
