Andre Dubus III

Andre Dubus III G. ( born September 11, 1959 in Oceanside ( California)) is an American writer who mainly with the book House of Sand and Fog was successful.

Life

He grew up in an environment writer. His father Andre Dubus (1936-1999), was one of the most respected short-story writers of the United States. His cousin James Lee Burke is a mystery writer.

Andre Dubus III visited the Bradford College, where his father taught, and studied sociology at the University of Texas. He left the University of Wisconsin- Madison, roamed the land and worked as a probation officer, bartender, janitor, bounty hunter, as a consultant in a treatment center and as a carpenter.

His literary work was, inter alia, with the Pushcart Prize and in 1985 won the National Magazine Award for Fiction. In 1994, he was among the three finalists for the Prix de Rome from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and " House of Sand and Fog" in 1999 to those of the National Book Award for Fiction.
