André Waterkeyn

André Waterkeyn ( born August 23, 1917 in Wimbledon, † October 4, 2005 in Brussels) was a Belgian engineer.

André HJ Waterkeyn the Atomium in Brussels constructed for the 1958 World's Fair planned as a symbol of scientific progress and built together with André and Jean Polak. He also accompanied the extensive restoration of the building to his death

Waterkeyn was a director at the company Fabrimetal, a major Belgian steel producers.

Waterkeyn was also a hockey player, who participated for Belgium in 1948 at the Olympic Games in London.
