Andrea Bajani

Andrea Bajani ( born August 16, 1975 in Rome, Italy ) is an Italian writer and journalist.

Life

Bajani moved at an early age with his parents to Cuneo in Piedmont and later to Turin, where he still lives and works today. After his first two novels he had in 2005 with Cordiali saluti his first major success. Thereafter, he concentrated on writing for theater and radio. As a journalist, he has since been working for newspapers such as La Stampa, L' Unità and Il Sole 24 Ore.

2006 was followed by a documentary about the Italian precarity. Bajani related titles as an old battle cry of the Italian working class Wed Spezzo ma non m'impiego ( I break, but I do not lean forward ). The novel Lorenzo travel (Se le consideri colpe ) from the year 2007 has won several awards in Italy. After Domani niente scuola ( Tomorrow there is no school ) followed in 2010 Ogni promessa, the 2011 was also award winning.
