Andrea Cassone

Andrea Cassone ( born April 29, 1929 in Cannitello di Villa San Giovanni, Calabria, Italy, † 12 April, 2010 Scilla (Calabria ), Calabria, Italy) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop of Rossano - Cariati.

Life

Andrea Cassone received after his theological training on 22 December 1951, the ordination. After pastoral work, he worked in the diocesan administration, most recently as Vicar General.

Pope John Paul II appointed Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Cassone 1992 Rossano Cariati, Calabria region in the church. He received his episcopal consecration on March 24, 1973, the Vittorio Luigi Mondello, Archbishop of Reggio Calabria - Bova; Co-consecrators were Giuseppe Agostino, Archbishop of Crotone - Santa Severina, and Aurelio Sorrentino, Alt- Archbishop of Reggio Calabria - Bova.

His age-related resignation was by Pope Benedict XVI. 2006 upheld.
