Andrea Cornaro (cardinal)

Andrea Cornaro ( born December 18, 1511 Venice, † January 30, 1551 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was from 1543 to the Bishop of Brescia.

Pope Paul III. appointed him on December 19, 1544 cardinal. On January 9, 1545, he took as a cardinal deacon of San Teodoro al Palatino Church in possession. He participated in several meetings of the Council of Trent and the conclave 1549/1550. From 1550, he was cardinal deacon of Santa Maria in Domnica. Andrea Cornaro was the nephew of Cardinal Marco and Francesco Cornaro.
