Andrea Staka

Andrea Staka (* 1973 in Lucerne, Switzerland ) is a Swiss director and screenwriter.

She became known for her film The Lady, for which she was awarded in 2006 with the Golden Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival.

Biography

Andrea Staka started her career early on as a photographer, but switched to film directing and later. She completed her film studies at the University of Art and Design (now ZHdK), Zurich. Andrea Staka now works as a director, screenwriter and producer. She lives with her partner, filmmaker Thomas Imbach, and their son in Zurich.
