Andreas Hofgaard Winsnes

Andreas Hofgaard Winsnes (AH Winsnes ) (* 1889, † 1972) was a Norwegian literary and historian of ideas.

Winsnes was from 1938 Professor of European Literature at the University of Oslo and one of the most prominent academics in Norway from the 40's until his death. He was committed to the language Riksmål, and was one of the founders of the Norwegian Academy.
