Andreas Klier

Andreas Klier ( born January 15, 1976 in Munich ) is a former German cyclist and sports director.

Career

From 2001 to 2007, the classic specialist went for the T -Mobile team. Previously, he was with the team from 1996-1998 Nuremberg and 1999/2000 TVM - Farm Frites under contract. He met four times on at the Vuelta a España and once the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France. His biggest career success was winning the Belgian classic Gent- Wevelgem in 2003.

On May 13, 2013 Klier ended with immediate effect his career as a player and was sports director of his team Garmin Sharp.

In August 2013 he admitted taking EPO, growth hormone, cortisone and blood transfusions in the period from 1999 to 2006. For all the successes he has been stripped from July 2005, including the victory of a stage of the Vuelta a España in 2007 and he was also suspended for six months as the Sports Director.
