Andrew Koenig

Joshua Andrew Koenig ( born August 17, 1968 in Los Angeles, California, † after February 14, 2010 in Vancouver, Canada ) was an American actor, editor, screenwriter and director.

Life

Koenig was the son of actor Walter Koenig ( Pavel Chekov in Star Trek ) early on, as a five year old, he had part of show business a first role in a television series. The mid-1980s he began his career as an actor with a recurring guest role as Richard " Boner " Stabone on the sitcom Growing Pains. Between 1985 and 1989 he played in 25 episodes of the series. He also had guest roles in several other shows, including an episode of Star Trek series Deep Space Nine. In 2003 he moved behind the camera and worked as an editor and as a writer and director of short films.

Koenig was reported missing by his family after he had his flight from Vancouver non-runner on 16 February 2010 and was not found. On February 25, his body was found in Stanley Park in Vancouver. In a press conference, his father announced that it constitutes suicide; Andrew was suffering from depression.
