Andrew McDermott

Andrew "Mac" McDermott ( born January 26, 1966; † August 3, 2011 in England) was a British rock singer. He was best known as a member of the British progressive metal band Threshold, with whom he recorded 1998-2007 released five studio albums and has been heard in addition to several fan club CDs and live albums. Both his predecessor and successor as Threshold vocalist Damian Wilson was.

Early in his career he played with various bands in clubs in his native England, but moved to Germany in the early 1990s, to join the band Sargant Fury. With this he recorded three albums and joined by their resolution to his countrymen Threshold. He was also a singer of German bands Galloglass, YARGOS and Power World during his career. With Power World he took in 2010 on the album Human Parasite, but resigned in June 2011 due to a "serious health problems " from the band. McDermott died 3 August 2011 from kidney failure, most recently he was a member of the band SwampFreaks.
