Andrew McNeil

Andrew McNeil ( born January 19, 1987 in Edinburgh) is a Scottish football player.

Career

McNeil went to England in 2003 to play in the youth of Southampton FC. A year later the goalkeeper received a professional contract, but was only substitute. When the club in January 2006 with Bartosz Białkowski undertook another young goalkeeper, he decided to leave the club.

In the summer of 2006, McNeil therefore returned to his hometown and signed for Hibernian initially a one year contract. But he knew how to convince with the reserve team and was nominated for the Scottish Under-19, with which he was Vice-European Champion 2006. Then, his contract was extended and in January 2007 he supplanted Zbigniew Małkowski out of the gate of the first team.
