Andrew Roachford

Andrew Roachford ( born January 22, 1965 in London ) is a British musician of West Indian descent.

Biography

Even as a small boy, he began to play the piano. By his own account he began his career in 1979. Then he was accompanied by his uncle Bill Roachford, a well known jazz saxophonist. During the 1990s he was the driving force of the band Roachford, with whom he achieved the greatest success in 1989, when the single Cuddly Toy occupied fourth place in the British charts. His first solo album Roachford he published in 1988. In 2005, the album Word of Mouth, which was produced by Mousse T. 's label Peppermint Jam followed. The album Addictive appeared in Germany in September 2011.

Since 2010, Andrew Roachford singer of the band Mike & the Mechanics, and with this in 2011 released the album The Road. He shares the vocals with the Canadian singer Tim Howar and is the official successor of Paul Carrack.
