Andrew W. K.

Andrew Wilkes- Krier, known as Andrew WK ( born May 9, 1979 in Stanford, California) is an American rock musician.

Biography

Andrew Wilkes- Krier began playing the piano at four years; later were added guitar and drums. At five years old he moved to Detroit, Michigan, and from there to New York 18. His song I Love NYC according to which he is a big fan of this city.

His first EP brought Andrew, also in New York under the name Girls Own Juice ( Bulb Records) out. One of his later demo tapes landed happened to be in the hands of the Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who Andrew WK then hired as the opening act. As a result, Andrew W.
