Andrey Amador

Andrey Amador Bikazakova ( born August 29, 1986 in San José ) is a Costa Rican cyclist.

Andrey Amador in 2005 was second overall at the Vuelta a Chiriqui and third overall at the Vuelta a Costa Rica. The next year he won a stage at the Vuelta a Chiriqui and he finished in the national time trial championship in second place in the U23 class. 2007 Amador won a stage at the Vuelta a Navarra and two pieces at the Vuelta al Goierri. In the Semana Aragones, he was first overall. In the 2008 season he won the overall title at Bidasoa Itzulia. In June 2008 he signed a professional contract for the following season with the Spanish ProTour team Caisse d' Epargne. 2012 Amador could win the 14th stage of the Giro d' Italia. It was the first high mountain stage of the Tour of Italy and Amador sat down at the mountaintop finish in Cervinia ahead of Jan Barta and Alessandro De Marchi through so he could celebrate a stage win was the first Costa Ricans of Giro history.
