Andrey Kivilev

Andrei Mikhailovich Kiwiljow (Russian: Андрей Михайлович Кивилёв; born September 21, 1973 in Taldikorgan, Kazakh SSR, † March 12, 2003 in Saint- Étienne ) was a Kazakh cyclist of Russian origin.

Kiwiljow 1998 was a professional cyclist with the French team Festina. His best season was from Kazakhstan in 2001 with the Équipe Cofidis: He won the Route du Sud stage race and a stage of the Dauphiné Libéré. In the subsequent 2001 Tour de France Kiwiljow belonged to a 14 - man breakaway group that arrived on a rainy stage 8 to Pontarlier than 35 minutes before the peloton and all the favorites. He finished the tour finally on the fourth.

Nearly two years later, in March 2003, Kiwiljow crashed during the stage race Paris-Nice heavy and later succumbed to his injuries.
