Andrey Popoviç

Andrey Popovic (Russian: Андрей Владимирович Попович / Andrei Vladimirovich Popovich, born April 4, 1992, Chop, Ukraine) is an Azerbaijani football goalkeeper.

Association

Born in the Ukraine began his career in his native country with FC Hoverla - Zakarpattya Uzhhorod. In spring 2007 he signed his first professional contract with Metalurh Donetsk. He remained two years in Donetsk, but did not in the first team for the course, and therefore joined in the summer of 2009, after Azerbaijan to FK Baku. After he came only in reserve for use in Baku, he decided in autumn 2010 to a change on loan to Abşeron Futbol Klubu. He was a top performer, played in all 26 games and thus helped his team to promotion to the Premyer Liqasi. In June 2011 he returned to FK Baku, but decided in July for a change to Sumqayıt PFK. There he came to eleven operations under German coach Bernhard Raab.

For the 2013/14 season Popovic moved to second division TKI Tavşanlı Linyitspor. Here he came, however, due to the competition in the league not to use, so he already moved into the winter break back to Sumqayıt PFK.

National

Popovich was appointed for the first time for the Azerbaijan national football team on October 5, 2011, and made ​​his debut in a friendly against Albania on November 11, 2011. Previously, the goalkeeper has played six games for the U -17, U-19 from Azerbaijan and one match for the U- 21 team under Bernhard Lippert.
