Andromeda Software Development

Andromeda Software Development ( ASD short ) is a Greek group of the demo scene, which was formed in 1992. The group has won many prices of the demo scene, including since 2003 Scene.org several awards.

ASD has no direct connection to the former Norwegian demo group Andromeda. Still, it was a collaboration with Archmage of Andromeda in the production of demos Lifeforce, in 2007 won the demo competition of the assembly.

History

ASD have produced the mid-1990s a number of small intros and demos for the PC, which particularly outstanding counterfactual (winner of the first Greek demo party ever, The Gardening 1995) and Beyond (4th place, The Gardening 1996). Then there was silence until 2001 to ASD, until finally Cadence & Cascade - won the demoparty Digital Nexus in Athens - the first 3D accelerated demo of the group.

Since 2002, ASD participates in many important competitions of the demoscene. They won at the 2005 Assembly demo competition with Iconoclast.
