Assembly (Demoparty)

Assembly is demo party that takes a year since 1992 in Helsinki, Finland.

Meanwhile, the event achieved visitor numbers around 5000 and is therefore the final digital underground outgrown. Even if the venue, the well-known sponsors, large sums of money and many unrelated sectors visitors to the party giving a commercial touch, it is nevertheless still one of the most prestigious parties and many well-known groups their particularly good creations save specifically for the assembly on. Who will win the demo or intro competition of the assembly can not only enjoy a handsome prize money but also a high reputation in the scene.

In the years 1997-1999, often simply called ASM Party experienced a small crisis and many sceners prophesied her the same end as the Danish The Party. Meanwhile, the organizers have the respect, however, worked out again by the scene competitions take center stage and demosceners preferential treatment among the guests.

In addition to the German breakpoint the assembly is one of the few parties with an international audience: about 25 % of visitors come from abroad.

Each year, an official compilation will be released on DVD-ROM (formerly CD -ROM) with the productions of the assembly. Increasingly, a DVD is included, so that some of the demos can be viewed not only in real time on the computer, but also as films with a commercial DVD player.

The assembly is also known for its e-sports tournaments.
