Andy Biersack (born Andrew Dennis Biersack, widely known by his stage name Andy Sixx; born December 26, 1990 in Cincinnati, Ohio) is an American singer and founder of the band Black Veil Brides.

Life
Andrew Dennis Biersack was born in Cincinnati, Ohio, the son of Chris and Amy Biersack. His father already played guitar in the punk band The Edge, so that Andy at an early age had contact with the rock music. His school days he described among other things as may be difficult, as he was often bullied by his own admission.
Today Andy Biersack lives in Hollywood, along with the singer Juliet Simms.

Music
At the age of 14 years Biersack founded as the first attempt to walk with a few of his friends his first band, which are known under the name Black Veil Brides today. In September 2009 the band the indie lable Standby Records was signed, they immediately began with the production of their album. In December 2009, they went on their first U.S. tour entitled "On Leather Wings". The band's debut album We Stitch These Wounds was released on 20 July 2010 and sold in the first week more than 10,000 times, which meant that they number 36 and Billboard Independent Charts rose on the Billboard charts Top 200 at # 1. The second studio album, Set The World On Fire was released on June 14, 2011 by Lava Music / Universal Republic Records. Its very unusual style shaped the post-hardcore scene immensely.

After he dropped out of high school, Biersack moved to Los Angeles, California to there into acting to enter. Injuries
Biersack has suffered serious injuries in some performances of his band. Noteworthy is especially be the case of a 4 -meter-high pillar on June 18, 2011 in Hollywood. When he tried to jump back on the stage, he fell forward and hit his chest on the edge of the stage. This had three broken ribs and one shifted result. Despite the severe degree of injury Biersack went back on stage and finished the show. This injury was also later the reason for the non-participation of Black Veil Brides in the first week of the Vans Warped Tour 2011.
