Andytown, Florida

Andy Townsend (Florida ) is a town in Broward County in the United States at the intersection of U.S. Highway 27 to the Florida State Road 84 In 1979, the village was removed to expand Interstate 75 in Alligator Alley. The village was still to be found in the 1980s on maps. Some online services, the ghost town is now also listed yet.

The town itself was founded by Andy Poulus 1947. 1963 Andy Townsend was awarded the status of a village.

Remains of Andy Townsend 27 can be found at the Griffin Road east of Highway. Next to the cemetery there is still a transformer station, which bears the inscription Andy Townsend. In the nearby town of Davie is a bar called Andy's Lounge and Package, which has made over the front door an old village sign. Near Andy Townsend was also the former truck stop or truck stop called Jo -Mo City on U.S. Highway 27
