Angel's Egg

Tenshi no Tamago (Japanese天使 の たまご, GV "The Egg of the Angel " ) is having an anime film from Mamoru Oshii and Yoshitaka Amano, the surrealist trains and minimal any language. The film is more of a work of art in which the pictures speak for themselves. It was produced by Tokuma Shoten, which was released in 1985.

Action

A girl with long white hair clips with an egg by a bleak country where there seems to be hardly any people. One day it hits a walker. Reluctantly, the two close together to migrate to a kind of " Noah's Ark". At the end the girl loses the egg to the hikers.

The film lives of his pictures, it explains nothing and next to nothing spoken. It includes only the images, combined with great orchestral music, the viewer's imagination to spur.

In 1988 appeared the first film directed by Carl Colpaert the Australian feature film " In the Aftermath ", were combined in the excerpts from Tenshi no Tamago with a total length of about 30 minutes with real scenes.

It tells the story of a soldier in a post-apocalyptic world, the first loses a comrade and later in an abandoned factory on a doctor and a mysterious girl comes with an egg.

The anime sequences from Tenshi no Tamago being observed in random order newly cut together connected (with numerous action and connection errors ) and poorly with real scenes of inferior quality. Due to the license conditions for "In the Aftermath" existing has not been published to date in the original anime version of Tenshi no Tamago outside of Asia.

In Germany, " In the Aftermath " in 1988 under the title "After Rabbit - escape from the future" appeared on VHS. The German title is an allusion to the same year produced, representing the U.S. feature film Who Framed Roger Rabbit, in which real and animated elements were also combined.
