Angelin Preljocaj

Angelin Preljocaj (born 19 January 1957) is a French dancer and choreographer of Albanian descent.

Preljocaj studied modern dance at the Paris Schola Cantorum at Karin Waehner. His first choreography, the duo Aventures coloniales, he showed in 1984 as a member of the company of Dominique Bagouet. In 1985, Preljocaj his own dance company, Ballet Preljocaj today. For the Ballet de l' Opéra de Paris, he created in 1994 the ballet Le Parc, for that he was awarded the Prix Benois de la Danse in the following year. Since then, to find his work the repertoire of international ballet companies, but he also written commissioned works.
