Angelo Vincenzo Zani

Angelo Vincenzo Zani ( born March 24, 1950 in Pralboino, Brescia Province, Italy ) is a Curia, Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Angelo Vincenzo Zani studied philosophy and Catholic theology at the seminary of the diocese of Brescia and received on 20 September 1975, the sacrament of Holy Orders. After further studies at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas, he received his doctorate at the Pontifical Lateran University for Doctor Theologiae. At the Pontifical Gregorian University, he completed a social science studies.

He was first vice- rector of the school Istituto CESARE ARICI. From 1983 to 1995 he was Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Philosophy and Theology of the Pontifical Salesian University in Nave and Sociology of Religion at the Theological Institute Paul VI. the diocesan seminary in Brescia. From 1990 to 1995 he also taught religious instruction at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Brescia. From 1981 to 1995 he was also director of the Diocesan Pastoral in Brescia, Secretary of the Board and the priestly ministry and head of the church schools in the diocese. For the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Lombardy, he headed the Commission for the school counseling.

From 1995 to 2002 Zani was national director of the school and university system in the Italian Episcopal Conference. Since January 2002, Zani was undersecretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education.

On November 9, 2012 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him. Titular Archbishop of Volturnum and Secretary of the Congregation for Catholic Education. He received his episcopal consecration Benedict XVI.
