Angiolo Vestris

Angiolo Maria Gasparo Vestris ( born November 19, 1730 in Florence, † June 10, 1809 in Paris ) was an Italian dancer and actor.

Life

Angiolo is the son of Tommaso Marin Ippolito Vestris (actually Vestri ), whose seven children have taken a total of three dancer Occupation: Therese ( 1726-1808 ), Gaetano ( 1728-1808 ) and Angiolo.

Angiolo was a younger brother of Gaetano Vestris. He studied dance at Louis Dupré and in 1753 was a soloist at the Opéra National de Paris. Later he was dancing under Jean Georges Noverre in Stuttgart. In 1767 he returned to Paris, where he was as an actor at the Comédie Italienne -.

In 1766 he married in Stuttgart, the French actress Françoise Rose Gourgaud, called Rose Vestris. (* April 7, 1743 in Marseille, October 5, 1804 in Paris). She was the daughter of Pierre -Antoine Gourgaud Dugazon called.
