Angkarn Kalayanapong

Angkarn Kalayanapong ( Thai: อังคาร กัลยาณ พงศ์; born February 13, 1926 in Nakhon Si Thammarat, † August 25 2012 in Watthana / Bangkok ) was a Thai poet and painter.

Life

He studied at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Silpakorn University. In the late 1950s he began his literary activity. In 1986, he was for panithan Kawee with the S.E.A. Write Award. He was named National Artist of Thailand in 1989. Angkarn made ​​himself a name as a painter, among other things, with drawings and the painting Prints of Himmapan. He died at the age of 86 from heart disease and diabetes.
