Animorphs is an American science-fiction adventure series based on the eponymous book series by KA Applegate.

Action

Jake, his cousin Rachel, Marco, Cassie and Tobias ( Red-tailed Hawk ) are young people like everyone else.

But one day, they meet a moribund aliens, the Prince Elfangor called. He warned the youth against the invasion of malignant and parasitic aliens, the Yirks that are able to control other living beings, by penetrating into her brain.

To guard against these creatures, he gives them the power of morphing: the ability to transform into any animal that you touch. However, it should never be longer than two hours in animal form, otherwise you can not change back again. Shortly thereafter Elfangor is from a malicious aliens, Visser Three ( one of the leaders of the Yirks ) murdered.

Since then, the Animorphs fight against the threat of the Yirks, but they can no longer trust anyone, because everyone could be an alien. The young hero morph into different animals in order to keep the Yirks long at bay until the good aliens come to earth. You will also get one more ally: Elfangors little brother Aximili - Esgarrouth - Isthill, named Ax.

Success of the series

Although the episodes differ from book originals, the series has become a huge success in the USA. The series shown on U.S. television network Nickelodeon has been set yet after the first season.

German Release Date

The TV series has never been broadcast in Germany. While videos have been sold for some time at Amazon.com, but as an English language versions. When or if the series is ever aired, is not known.
